Case Study 1
Relocating from Hong Kong to Brighton East
Location: Bayside Melbourne
Clients Brief: After spending more that 15 years living abroad in various countries, our clients were looking to relocate back to Melbourne with their three children. With two children in secondary school and one in primary school, finding a home within preferred school zones and a vibrant community were important. Their ideal home was to feature four or more bedrooms, two living areas, a spacious yard and distinctive character, with the potential for renovation in the future. Additionally, walking distance to public transport for easy access to selected schools and the CBD was essential.
Our Solution: This brief was faced with the challenge of being in the middle of the pandemic, coupled with a hotly contested market and limited stock for preferred locations. We conducted numerous video calls to thoroughly assess the shortlisted properties as well as the surrounding amenities such as shops, schools and sporting grounds.
After being the underbidder on two properties, we moved quickly to complete our due diligence on another property just prior to another lockdown. We successfully secured this wonderful six bedroom period home in Brighton East, prior to the scheduled auction date.
As the clients return date continued to be affected with travel restrictions, we projected managed their initial stage of renovations post settlement. This included essential updates such as painting, new carpet and flooring. Throughout the process we facilitated multiple video calls to ensure the clients remained actively involved in decision making.
Finally, they were able to arrive in Australia and settle into their home and community.
